Corus Console Unified Messaging System

Here is how the Console works. When there is an inbound call, the Console does a screenpop on the Operator's PC screen. Caller ID catches the caller's information and the Corus system gathers associated information with the caller's name, company, and other details that apply to the customer.
There are Speed Keys in the Console located at the bottom. These Speed Keys can be used for basic Operator functions. Operator functions such as answering calls, transferring calls, and hanging calls up. All of these functions can be activated with a click of a mouse or hot keys on the keyboard.
An on-screen graphical status of all company extensions is displayed in the Console and allows the Operator to know the status of each extension. Status remarks such as out of the office, on the phone, in a meeting, forward to, etc. This helps improve call direction on where to route the call correctly the first time, instead of bouncing the call from extension to extension.
